This little sweetheart will have pigtails by 6 months, I’m sure! I would love to show you each and every image from this shoot … but I have to save some surprises for the wonderful mom and dad of this gorgeous little girl. Here is just a selection of my favourites.
WEEKEND VISIT

This is an image of my nephew who came for a visit over the weekend. I just loved his hat (well, not just his hat — I love him, too!) so asked if I could take a few shots. He didn’t seem totally thrilled on the outside, although on the inside I think he was secretly pretty happy. And I’m so happy with the result — this is just such a 9 year old shot, or is he 10 already. Aack, time flies! Thanks “C”! I included both colour and B&W as I wasn’t sure which I liked better — let me know what you think!

Another fun wintry, snowy shoot! I just loved meeting this family — they truly were what I wish for my family 8 years down the road. Mom and Dad still completely in love. A daughter so nice to talk to, so in love with her dogs, so sweet . A son adventurous and wanting to explore, but at the same time such a good sport with the family photo shoot. And a level of respect and love between all of them that I adored. Lovely. Thanks so much guys!
The family shots were so much fun! I love the one of the kids getting all “Oh mom and dad; don’t embarrass us” when their parents sneak a kiss. Too hilarious!
PATIENCE, PATIENCE

Newborn sessions are each so different. Some newborns fall right into step with your plan (I use that term loosely as it’s one week olds who are truly in control of the plan!). There are newborns who need lots of extra care and cuddling. There are some who sleep through the whole session and don’t even know they are being a supermodel that day. This little guy was not one of those newborns! He just did NOT want to sleep! It must have taken close to an hour to get him into dreamland but I’m so glad his mom and dad were so patient as I love his zzzzzzzzzz images. A truly beautiful little boy, awake and asleep!

Winter Love

We picked the perfect day for an outdoor winter engagement session. Although it was a tiny bit on the chilly side, K & D were such good sports. And yes, my camera absolutely loved them! And to be honest, I did too! There is no doubt how much these two are in love and I got goosebumps being able to witness and capture their relationship in these images. There will be many more to come K&D!
