VISITING FROM T.O.

A fun post for you all today!  You may remember this sweet family  from a couple months ago .  Well the moms are sisters, and so when Janine brought her family back out from Toronto to visit all their relatives here in her hometown, they fit a photo shoot into their busy schedule.  This was after a full day at the Stampede – I take my hat off to them for being such troopers — they looked good AND had lots of energy!  8534bw

8655I loved all the different looks Julia gave me.  She was SO into the photo shoot and was such fun to be with.  And well, Charlie was an absolute charmer!!   Does he not have the most gorgeous smile… and he’s REAAAALLLLY fast too!

HAILEY AT THE FOLK FEST

This weekend was spent at the Calgary Folk Festival and the kids just loved it.  Here is a favourite image of Hailey from the weekend …  in her folk fest gear!

Now that the folk fest is over, we’re back to work.  There are lots of shoots to edit and more to shoot this week including the Longview location shoots tomorrow!  I truly can’t wait.   Keep checking back on the blog as well… more news to come on Fall Mini-Sessions and a couple other fun pieces of news!

BROOKE AND KALE

Look at this sweetheart!    She was a very sleepy little newborn and was just perfect for us by her living room window.   I just adored all of her, but especially that gorgeous little mouth.  And she is definitely having some sweet dreams in the last image!7446

And a couple of her sweet older brother.  He dragged me upstairs to show me his room, so we definitely had to get a picture there with his VERY cool hockey bed!

COUSINS

What a treat to photograph this gorgeous group of cousins.  This shoot was given as a gift to the grandparents and so we all went out to their lovely home out in the country and were able to capture these  images.    I love, love, love this first image.

The colours.

The light.

The little ones all between the big ones whom they look up to so much.

The brothers with their arms around each other.

The littlest guy with both feet off the ground.

The closeness — they didn’t even groan or mumble as we asked them to take hands and walk down the road.  They gladly did it!

And walking down the road that brings so much meaning to this family.

I have a feeling you will see this first image at the top of my blog soon as I absolutely adore it!    Lots more to come in your gallery soon!

BRYN and HALLI

It has been such fun getting to know this family since we first met when Bryn was just a brand new little one.  We’ve had lots of giggles together in the couple of shoots since then and this shoot was no exception, except now we have sweet Halli added to the mix!   We had a fun afternoon in their backyard on a very, very hot and cloudless day and here are some of the resulting images!

For all you sisters out there, you know how special this first one will be as the girls grow older.5175bw

MORNING RITUALS

I just love images of Hailey where she’s trying to be like Daddy.  One of my favourites has been her looking over into her Daddy’s bowl as she tries to copy him twirling his spaghetti on his spoon.  This new one has now become a favourite.  My husband reads the paper over breakfast every morning.  And here’s Hailey too, arm up on the table, getting her news for the day.

Have a wonderful day!9713

ESEN

I fell in love with this little guy.  He was just full of smiles and giggles the whole entire shoot.  These first two images are a couple of my favourites — Esen with his huge, toothy grin and then together with his mom and dad.  I just look at that family image and sigh with contentment as all I see is HAPPY!4855b-copy

4817-copyThis image makes me smile so much as this is what was constantly happening our entire shoot!   Esen running, running and running some more!  Although he did stop for a bit as he was very interested in stomping in the water and looking at the ducks.4761-copy

BABY JACK (14 days)

I was so excited to meet Jack — we had such a fun maternity session with his mom and dad a couple months back and I knew we were going to have lots of fun once he arrived.  He was such a sweet, easy newborn … I think you can even see how laid back he in these photos.  Mom and Dad are so easy-going and loving themselves, it’s no wonder it’s been passed on to this sweetheart.  4625bw4547cbwWhen I saw this room upstairs, I suggested we do some shots up here.  The light was so beautiful and doesn’t their dog just fit in perfectly with the colour scheme!?!4735

I really love how he is wrapping his hand around dad’s arm in this image … he knows his daddy will be there for him!4603And mom, too!

There’s lots more gorgeous ones to come in your gallery,  Mom and Dad!  I had to save some as surprises!!!

MY LITTLE COWBOY

As it’s Calgary Stampede time, I thought I better include some western-type images.  Can you believe Reuben is only 18 months old?  Looking at these images, I feel he could jump on a horse and go help Grandpa move some cattle.  (Really, he was only interested in the pancakes at our neighbourhood breakfast!)  Happy Stampede, everyone!7902blog7913bwblog
